The Galleria on Al Maryah Island Announces Family Activities throughout the Holy Month

The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi’s luxury shopping and dining destination, unveils a host of Ramadan themed activities.  Reflecting the meaning of season, all activities can be enjoyed together as a family or for quality time with friends, and will run throughout the holy month.

Renowned local calligrapher and graffiti artist Dia’a Allam will host an art exhibition at The Galleria throughout the month.  Dia’a is passionate about calligraphy and aims to integrate Arabic calligraphy in contemporary Modern Art.  Visitors to the mall will be able to admire his skill and craftsmanship across a variety of different works on display.

Every weekend throughout the Holy month, a dedicated hospitality area will showcase traditional Arabic coffee and dates, available for all visitors. A falcon stand will delight guests and provide unique insight into the region’s heritage.  As the Holy Month draws to a close, during the final ten days of Ramadan and throughout Eid, little ones will be able to enjoy a range of arts and crafts activities, all themed around the holy month.  Additionally, a henna artist and sand bottle artist, will showcase traditional craftsmanship for all visitors to the mall.

To mark Eid celebrations in July, an Ayyalah band will perform daily in The Galleria. Reflecting traditional Arabian hospitality, complimentary coffee and dates will also be served at dedicated stations throughout the mall.

Charles Martinez, General Manager of The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi comments: “To commemorate the holy month of Ramadan, we’re delighted to showcase a wonderful collection of activities, offering a true reflection of Arabian hospitality.  Our location in the heart of Abu Dhabi makes The Galleria an ideal destination after sunset, and as we embrace this season, we hope that family and friends will be able to enjoy quality time together.”

Additionally, an elegant array of dining destinations offer superior selections for those looking to have iftar in style at The Galleria.  A firm favourite with residents in the capital, Nolu’s will offer a Ramadan Buffet throughout the holy month, showcasing a unique blend of Californian cuisine with an Afghani flair. The iftar will be available daily from the sunset to 9pm, priced at AED 150 per person.  Paying tribute to the tradition of gift-giving during the festive period, Bateel has unveiled a new premium Ramadan collection. From exquisite trays, to ornate silver platters, the boutique range is truly reflective of the brand’s Arabian heritage. Starting from AED 105, the Ramadan collection will be available from 1 June.
