Effective July 1, Dubai Courts to close Al Barsha Traffic Branch and convert Wafi Mall office to a Private Notary

Dubai Courts has announced the permanent closure of its public notary branch at the Al Barsha Traffic Department, effective 1 July 2025. In a statement, the courts said all services previously offered at the Al Barsha location will be redirected to private notary offices across the emirate, the Dubai Courts website, and government service centres (Al Adheed).

The affected services include the issuance of legal notices and the attestation of documents such as powers of attorney, contracts, minutes of meetings, declarations, non-Muslim wills, and church marriage contracts.

Additionally, the Dubai Courts branch in Wafi Mall will be converted into a private notary centre. As part of the transition, personal status attestation services at the Wafi Mall location will also cease from 1 July. The new centre will provide the same range of services offered by other private notary offices.

His Excellency Mohammed Ahmad Al Obaidli, Executive Director of the Case Management Sector at Dubai Courts, said the move is part of a strategy to enhance service quality and align with global best practices. “This step ensures the efficient continuity of services across multiple channels," Mr Al Obaidli said. The new centre and alternative service channels will provide all previous services, enhancing efficiency and meeting customer needs more quickly and flexibly.

Customers are advised to visit the Dubai Courts website or contact its unified call centre to locate the nearest private notary office, book appointments, and access available digital services.
