E-commerce made up 29% of total consumer retail payments in 2024, with more than 87 million shipments recorded, according to Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Kassabi.
Speaking at a meeting with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors in the Aseer region, Al-Kassabi highlighted that the number of commercial registrations in the Kingdom has reached 1.7 million, with about 5.2%—approximately 90,000 registrations—based in Aseer.
He emphasized that Saudi Arabia is undergoing an unprecedented transformation driven by Vision 2030 and led by the Crown Prince.
The minister also noted that 20 branches of the Saudi Business Center have been established across 15 cities and provinces to streamline the process of starting and operating businesses.
Additionally, he said the National Competitiveness Center (NCC), in cooperation with more than 65 government entities and private sector partners, has implemented over 900 reforms and economic initiatives to enhance the Kingdom’s business competitiveness.
