50 Corvettes drive to Marina Mall Abu Dhabi for Breast Cancer

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform ‘Let Hope Shine’, Marina Mall Abu Dhabi proudly showcased its support for Breast Cancer Awareness with 50 branded Corvettes driving along the capital’s Corniche on Friday, 30 October.

The event saw the Corvettes begin their journey from the Cancer Organisation Booth at 3:00pm. Accompanied by Abu Dhabi Police, the cars made their way to Marina Mall Abu Dhabi, where they parked at the main entrance in a fan formation. A booth was placed by the mall’s main entrance in which brand ambassadors educated mall visitors on breast cancer and distributed informative pamphlets, pink ribbons and flags.

Commenting on the event, Bruce von Kaufmann, General Manager at Marina Mall, said: “At Marina Mall Abu Dhabi we believe our business growth has to be socially responsible. We work closely with the local community through our CSR program ‘Let Hope Shine’, which gives us the opportunity to truly make a difference in the community.

“Breast Cancer is the most common cancer among women and with 50 Corvettes driving along Abu Dhabi, we hope to raise awareness about this disease and encourage women to get regular check-ups.”

The month of October has been internationally designated for Breast Cancer awareness. The annual campaign aims to increase awareness of the disease as well as educate and encourage women to take the necessary steps for early detection.

Marina Mall Abu Dhabi launched the ‘Let Hope Shine’ initiative in 2014 to improve lives and create opportunities for people in the UAE and around the world.
