20th anniversary of Gulfood: France will be there!
A hundred French companies, spread over two French Pavilions on a total area of nearly 1,300 square meters, will be exhibiting at Gulfood 2015. The 20th edition of the world's biggest annual food and hospitality show will be held from 8 to 12 February 2015, at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center. The French offer will be divided into two sectors: Food Service & Catering Equipment (Za'abeel Hall) with 28 French companies, Food and Drinks with 72 French companies (Trade Centre Arena / Sheikh Saeed Hall 1). Prior to the opening of the exhibition, France, represented by Business France, will be the only European country to participate in the press conference of February 3, 2015, organized by Dubai World Trade Centre.
For the 14th consecutive year, Business France (formerly UBIFRANCE & IFA) is organizing the French Pavilion dedicated to Food Service & Catering Equipment. 28 French companies will present their flagship product and their latest innovation, in a total exhibition area of 460 square meters. Visitors will find in Za'abeel Hall amongst others: professional cooking equipment, appliances and professional tools (food preparation, cooking, molds, cutlery, etc.), bakery and pastry equipment, laundry equipment, uniforms, disposable tableware, food packaging, signs and display, thermometers, etc. France Information Stand: Z-H36.
Also organized by Business France, the French Pavilion for Food and Drinks will occupy a total exhibition area of 834 square meters. 72 French companies will showcase quality food products, from all regions of France (particularly in Brittany, Burgundy and Franche-Comté). Visitors will find at the Trade Centre Arena / Sheikh Saeed Hall 1, amongst others: dairy products, eggs and cheese, sauces and condiments, baked goods and desserts pastry, meat and ready meals, processed fruits, soft drinks, etc. France Information Stand: S1-A26.

The quality of the French products is highly appreciated, especially in the Middle East where the hospitality sector is experiencing an unprecedented development. In the United Arab Emirates, the French exports of food & beverage products increased by 95 % in 5 years (between 2009 and 2013).
At global level, France is the 5th largest exporter of food & beverage products since 2011, with 63.4 billion USD in 2013 (increase by 5.94% compared to 2012). France is also very active on all G.C.C markets. For instance, Saudi Arabia is considered as the largest export market for French companies in the food & beverage products, with 937 million USD in 2013 (increase by 21.04% compared to 2012).
France is the 6th for the export of equipment in the food industry. In 2013, they amounted around 763 million USD (increase by 3.16 % compared to 2012).
