AG Concept’s folkloric theatre shows in UAE win accolades

AG Concept, a leading pan-Arab dance group, staged its folklore theatre show ‘Our history is the source of our pride’ during the 3rd Arab Family Award, held under the slogan ‘Through family ties we rise’ at the Sharjah Cultural Palace auditorium.

AG Concept also performed at the 22nd Al Owais Creativity Awards, attended by artists from around the Middle East region. AG Concept’s innovative folklore performances were widely applauded by audiences at both events.

“The two performances marked the group’s completion of one year in the UAE”, said Majdi Zebian, Founder and Managing Director of AG Concept, which is part of the renowned ‘Afrah Group’. “It is challenging to excel in a multinational community like the UAE. Our presence in the UAE is stronger now, following the impressive standing in Beirut since 1992.”

AG Concept has emerged as a popular group for various occasions in the UAE. The group recently performed in a series of launch events, weddings and fashion shows. 

“We were recently part of the launch of Esposa Boutique in Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi as well as a fashion show in Cipriani Yas Marina. In Addition, we held zaffat celebrations for a number of weddings at Intercontinental, The Address Downtown and The Address Dubai Mall. Moreover, we have participated in the opening of Ghossein Obeid Salon in Gloria Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road as well as many others,” said Zebian.

The group is experiencing an incredible resurgence. Its shows have also inspired people to seek out different and fun ways to stay active, keep in shape and relieve stress. 

AG Concept shot to new heights of fame after they appeared on ‘Hal Al Farah’ and ‘Hikayat Hilm’, performed, edited, composed and directed by some leading names in dance and theatre.

“Along with Salsa, Tango, Bachata, Zouk, Pole Fitness, Contemporary, Yoga and Hip-Hop, people in the UAE, especially theatre lovers, prefer the international folklore shows. We are confident that the rest of the year will bring bigger achievements for us,” concluded Zebian.
