Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail, leading the Kingdom’s delegation at the 13th World Urban Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan, revealed that Saudi Arabia will showcase its pioneering experience in sustainable urban development, highlighting qualitative transformations in housing, urban planning, landscape development, and humanization, alongside initiatives aimed at enhancing service efficiency and improving the urban environment.
Al-Hogail stated to the Saudi Press Agency that the delegation will present national projects related to urban innovation and smart cities. These initiatives include solutions that have increased urban efficiency and quality of life, reflecting the leadership’s commitment to city development under Saudi Vision 2030. He emphasized that the Kingdom’s vision places humans at the center of development, integrating planning with sustainability to build resilient cities capable of meeting future challenges.
Under the theme "Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities," the forum serves as an international platform for exchanging expertise and building partnerships. Al-Hogail affirmed that the Kingdom remains committed to strengthening global cooperation and developing its housing sector to enhance the competitiveness of Saudi cities, solidifying their positions among the world’s best for quality of life.
