Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Hamidi, Director General of Central Operations, Ras Al Khaimah Police, confirmed that speed radars installed last October have achieved an increase of 274.10 per cent in traffic violations, from cutting lanes to cutting red lights.
The digital cameras installed across a number of the emirate's roads, are of the highest-quality in terms of digital technology and can catch perpetrators of almost any traffic violations.
Brigadier Dr. Hamidi, said that the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, has achieved a significant decrease in the number of traffic accidents during the first half of 2016, compared with the same period of the previous year.
Ras Al Khaimah Police have also raised public awareness through traffic campaigns, awareness brochures, and communication with the public.
