Yas Waterworld to Participate in The World’s Largest Swim Lesson™

On Thursday, June 22nd, hundreds of kids and adults at Yas Waterworld will join thousands of global participants in The World’s Largest Swim Lesson™. The Park will serve as an official Host Location Facility for the WLSL 2017 event along with an estimate of 600 locations, to make noise that swimming lessons can save lives.

A research conducted by WLSL found that participation in formal swimming lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by 88% among children aged 1 to 4, yet many kids do not receive formal swimming or water safety training.

“We are very proud to participate in The World’s Largest Swim Lesson for the fourth year in a row. Safety is in our top priorities, and we feel we have a duty to take part in educating children and parents about the importance of water safety,” said Bianca Sammut, General Manager of Yas Waterworld.

Guests spending the day at Yas Waterworld will be invited to participate in a 30-minute swimming lesson at Amwaj Wave Pool, starting 5 PM.

The registration will take place at 4 PM. Certificates of appreciation will be handed to all participants at Yas Waterworld.

Time: 5:00-5:30 PM. Registration starts at 4 PM

Participation: Open to all guests at Yas Waterworld

Location: Amwaj Wave Pool, Yas Waterworld, Yas Island – Abu Dhabi

Registration is required, but prior swim experience is not necessary.
