Under its H.O.P.E. (Helping Our People and Environment) platform, Xpress Money,
one of the most dependable money transfer brands in the world, celebrated Ramadan’s spirit of generosity by distributing over 20,000 Iftar meals to blue collar workers across UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
This special initiative is in line with the sentiments of society at large during Ramadan. In a recent survey conducted by the brand, 68% of expats in the GCC confirmed that they spend more on charitable acts during the holy month. Xpress Money is part of a society that adopts the culture of giving and helping those in need especially during Ramadan.
“Ramadan is an occasion that encourages selflessness and generosity. Xpress Money is very pleased to be able to mark the month by distributing Iftar meals to blue collar workers and labourers, who regularly work long hours even when they are fasting,” says Xpress Money’s Vice President of Global Marketing, Ashwin Gedam.
The initiative was undertaken in collaboration with a number of public sector partners across all countries, including Dubai’s Community Development Authority, UAE Ministry of Health and ‘TheHolyMonth.com’. Xpress Money’s partners UAE Exchange, Oman UAE Exchange, Bahrain UAE Exchange, Asia Express (Lulu), Mustafa Sultan, Hamdan Exchange, Al Jadeed and Wasel Exchange too joined in to support the initiative.
Xpress Money’s corporate social responsibility platform, H.O.P.E, continually works towards supporting social causes and improving the lives of its blue collar customers through regular initiatives such as health checks, entertainment and yoga. Additionally, the platform regularly addresses social causes along the global themes of financial literacy and inclusion, education and relief work.
