Today as the sun was rising delegates from the World Economic Forum Summit on the Global Agenda took part in early morning fitness activities at Yas Marina Circuit. Famous for hosting the annual Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Marina Circuit is also a well-known destination for health and fitness activities in the Nation’s capital.
“We are delighted that participants of the Summit on the Global Agenda have joined our health and fitness community, and we hope this active start to their day will contribute to a productive Summit,” said Al Tareq Al Ameri, CEO, Abu Dhabi Motorsport Management. “They are among the expected 250,000 visits Yas Marina Circuit will see this year for health and fitness related activity alone, all enjoying our F1 track for healthy activities like running, walking and cycling.”
StartYAS and TrainYAS are weekly programmes open to the public, allowing both residents and visitors to walk, run and cycle the 5.5km circuit each Sunday & Tuesday from 6pm-10pm, attracting over 4,000 attendees to each event. In addition, GoYAS is a female-only event that allows women to train in privacy and is held every Wednesday evening, 6pm – 9pm. They also host their own Triathlon and 10k run.
During the first two days of the Summit a number of delegates took part in exercise activities on the circuit and Yas Marina Circuit looks forward to hosting more participants on the last day of the summit.
