Silk & Spice Thai restaurant at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche celebrates Songkran Thai New Year in Abu Dhabi
Songkran Food Festival at Silk & Spice is conducted in the partnership with the Royal Thai Embassy in the UAE, Etihad airways and Dammann Freres tea.
His Excellency, Warawudh Chuwiruch, Ambassador of the Royal Thai Embassy in the UAE, Colonel Philipper Douard, Attache of French Embassy and media representatives and management of Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche attended official ribbon-cutting ceremony and dinner.
Guests were entertained by Thai musician who plays at traditional Thai Khim instrument. Every guest, who books a table from April 13-19, 2015 participates gets a chance to win 2 Etihad airways tickets to Phuket, gifts from luxury Dammann Freres tea and romantic dinner at Silk&Spice.
For Songkran Food Festival was developed special four –course menu to choose from two appetisers (mix satay or deep fried seafood cake); two salads (signature papaya salad with grilled shrimp with nuts or mince chicken salad); seafood sour soup with hot basil leaves; main course (stir fried beef with asparagus and garlic sauce, tiger prawn in yellow curry sauce, Thai paneang curry chicken or stir fried pack choy with tofu) and dessert (crushed ice with exotic fruits and sweated milk or pumpkin in coconut milk).
