Taiwan’s Award Winning Brands to be showcased exclusively as part of their annual global tour

Taiwan Excellence Days Exhibition to be held at the Dubai Mall

After the success of Taiwan Excellence Days 2014, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) launches their ‘2015 Taiwan Excellence Days’ with this year’s award-winning ICT, health-care, home & living appliances, and auto parts  brands from Taiwan showcasing their latest innovations and trends from 9th September to 12th September at The Dubai Mall’s Star Atrium.

The Taiwan Excellence Mark is a prestigious recognition awarded to products that have done outstanding well in regards to Quality, Research & Development, Design and Marketing while being made in Taiwan. Supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Taiwan Excellence Days is a global initiative to build recognition for Taiwanese brands in their pursuit of perfection, innovation and for producing high-quality products.

Commencing with an Opening Ceremony on 9th September at 12 pm at the venue, Taiwan government officials and senior executive from the Award winning brands graced the exhibition. Present dignitaries and brands representatives at the Opening Ceremony were joined by trade visitors interested in experiencing the quality and innovation of Taiwan.

The Opening Ceremony had Mr. Shyh-Perng Chang, Director of Taiwan Trade Centre Dubai welcomed and thanked the visitors in his speech. Referring to Taiwan as a technology island, he confirms the nation’s long term commitment to developing new technologies, he said, “Taiwan ranks second in high-tech density. Taiwan’s innovation, manufacturing and design capability make Taiwan an irreplaceable link for many industries supply chain. The Taiwan government encourages companies to develop “innovalue” DNA in its products, which means innovation plus added-value.”

Leading Taiwanese brands featuring at the event include:

• Acer  – A global leading computer and cloud solution provider specializing in advanced technology
• ASUS– A world-wide famous brand in PC components, peripherals, notebooks, tablets, servers and smartphones.
• D-Link– A global leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of advanced networking, broadband, digital, voice and data communications solutions.
• DrayTek – An industry leader in networking products specialising in broadband equipment including firewalls, VPN devices, routers and wireless LAN devices.
• Heartway – Leading manufacturer and international distributor of high quality mobility products.
• HTC– A leading Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones and tablets
• Maxxis –  A trusted tire brand committed to providing excellent products and customer service
• ZyXEL– One of world’s leading Internet product and solution providers, aiming for “Make the World Connect.”

Some products on showcase include global leading computer company Acer’s PC Gaming brand Predator series among others. The new launched Predator gaming products including gaming tablet Predator 8 and 35-inch curved gaming screen Predator Z35 make their debut in Dubai. Pre Networking leader DrayTek will be featuring their rich SoHo routers to super-fast VPN concentrators and routers range – Vigor with focus on the latest Vigor 2860 AC and Vigor AP910. Stylishly innovative and highly integrated e-bike brand BESV, will exhibit their 2015 Taiwan Excellence award winning bike LX1 and Panther PS1 which won the Taipei Cycle d&i gold award 2014. Some of the models on display by HTC Corp. will include Desire 820, Desire Eye, HTC One M9 among others. Leading mobility products manufacturer Heartway will be at the stand exhibiting the lightweight, portable and foldable Power Scooter P19 Brio and travel scooter S19. Trusted Taiwanese tire brand Tyre M-8070 and Tyre AT-980 will be some products representing the brand at the global tour in Dubai.

Mr. Shyh-Perng Chang added, “This year we have partnered with 60 leading Taiwanese brands to present 115 cutting-edge, innovative products, ranging from ICT, home & living appliances, to health-care and auto parts. I believe they will please the consumers of UAE and bring them much joy and convenience in their daily lives.”

Over the next four days, the showcase will entertain mall visitors with entertainment session running through the days. Visitors will even have a chance at winning hourly draws, daily raffles closing with a mega draw offering winners a vacation.

Mall goers can stop by the Star Atrium on the Lower Ground Floor at The Dubai Mall to witness the best from Taiwan between 9th – 12 September 2015.
