Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, was named winner of the ‘Datacenter Project of the Year’ category in the Network Middle East Innovation Awards 2017. The company was recognized for its unique co-location datacenter facility implementation for Ajman Bank, which is the largest of its kind in the Northern Emirates.
Schneider Electric’s implementation has helped Ajman Bank become a unique player in the UAE banking industry. The bank can now successfully manage its data across multiple domains, balance high availability and peak efficiency while offering customers a secure data storage option through its ‘Space Rental System’.
This 1000 sq meter, tier-III facility offers 99.9999 percent uptime to the bank, and its integrated datacenter infrastructure management (DCIM) solution has helped the bank save around 35-40 percent in power costs. Moving forward, the end-to-end IT system will help Ajman Bank build a sustainable and socially responsible business.
The Network Middle East award was held last week in Dubai to recognize innovative organizations, individuals and technologies in the Middle East networking space. The judges presented a total of 18 awards to winners picked from about 120 nominations.
