Global attention is turning to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as it prepares to host the Saudi Maritime Awards (SMA) 2026, organized by Robban Assafina, on 29 January 2026 in Jeddah, under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, and in strategic partnership with the Transport General Authority (TGA).
The event will bring together senior government officials, regional and international maritime leaders, and key decision-makers to recognize excellence across shipping, ports, logistics, maritime services, shipbuilding, and innovation, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s and the region’s role in the global maritime industry.
The awards coincide with Saudi Arabia’s continued presence on the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council for the 2026–2027 term, reflecting the Kingdom’s active engagement in international maritime governance. Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, the Saudi Maritime Awards promote sustainability, innovation, and international cooperation, supporting the Kingdom’s ambition to position itself as a global logistics and maritime hub and a key platform for engagement across the region and the wider international maritime community.
The event will bring together a wide range of prominent regional and international stakeholders, including BIHAR, Bahri, MACNA, CMA CGM, ClassNK, Grimaldi, NorthStandard, Stanford Marine Group, Aqaba Development Corporation, Red Sea Gateway Terminal, NGM Shipping, OSLCO, and Mutual Marine Services Al-Mushtaraka Ltd, reflecting the depth and diversity of participation across the global maritime ecosystem.
“The Saudi Maritime Awards serve as a vital platform to celebrate excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the maritime sector,” said Louay M. Chaaban, Chief Editor at Robban Assafina. “The event highlights Saudi Arabia’s maritime progress, strengthens cooperation across the region, and reflects the Kingdom’s long-term vision for leadership, sustainability, and growth in the global maritime industry.”
