Rivington Grill, renowned for its classic use of top-quality, seasonal produce, has launched a new menu showcasing the best of British cuisine.
Located in Souk Al Bahar, Rivington Grill’s menu offers fresh ingredients flown in from the UK and celebrates the rich diversity of British cuisine. New dishes are inspired by produce sourced from Scotland’s Atlantic coastline, the Derbyshire dales in the Midlands and lush farmland in the south-west. Diners can enjoy everything from succulent, coastal-caught shellfish and Scottish salmon to tender-picked vegetables and home-style comfort puddings.
Head Chef Scott Stokes said: “We’ve taken a back-to-basics approach to British food and want to bring simple yet delicious dishes to the table. We have scoured the length and breadth of Britain to find the best ingredients such as crunchy Granny Smith apples, Morecambe Bay cockles and artisan cheeses. These not only create great dishes, but offer people the chance to sample products from the UK’s different regions.”
The new starter menu includes Cumbrian oysters with shallot vinegar and grilled courgette paired with Ticklemore goat’s cheese from Devon. Must-try mains include grilled Dover sole with parsley butter; slow-cooked rabbit leg with bean stew and corn-fed chicken served with sage and onion stuffing, duck fat-roasted potatoes, parsnips and Yorkshire pudding.
Diners with a sweet tooth are spoilt for choice with classic, home-style favourites such as apple and blackberry crumble with custard; raspberry Bakewell pudding served with raspberry ripple ice cream; and stewed plum and cinnamon Eton mess.
