Ras Al Khaimah Hosts India-UAE Friendship Golf Cup Tournament
RAKBANK is pleased to present the 4th edition of the India-UAE Friendship Golf Cup tournament hosted in the Towerlinks golf course in Ras Al Khaimah and supported by the Indian Consul General. The India-UAE Friendship Golf Cup tournament is a great initiative which enables participants to build business and personal relationships through an off-site event. Barriers are broken down through sport; bringing together the Emirati culture and the flourishing Indian community.
“The overwhelming response to this initiative in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi is a testament to both the popularity of golf in the region and the premise behind this tournament,” said Anurag Bhushan, Consul General of India, who is once again offering his full support to this project. “Golf enthusiasts from across the Emirates really enjoyed the opportunity to play on this magnificent course. With the Hajar Mountains serving as a majestic backdrop there is truly nothing like it in the region.”
Deepak Ahuja, the Head of Wealth Management at RAKBANK, said: “Stemming from a strong bank vision that capitalizes on sports to build and maintain business relationships, we were delighted to be associated with the India-UAE Golf Cup Tournament. The event also complemented our commitment to supporting events in our scenic home emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and we are happy to be working with the Indian Consulate in the UAE.”
The golf course clubhouse also hosted a special exhibition showcasing photographs from previous editions, presenting a number of exciting competitions and entertainment for the attendees.
The series was conceptualized and managed by GolfLAN who recently launched their UAE operations. The renowned golf consultancy is committed to making golf accessible to a much wider population in the UAE through their innovative product proposition "The Elite Golfer's Club".
