‘Pixels in the City’ attracts video gamers of all ages to CITY WALK

An SMS message about ‘Pixels in the City’ at CITY WALK prompted Al Ain resident Mohammed Al Kaaki to come to Dubai to be part of the unique attraction, organised as part of the 18th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), which kicked off on 23 July and will run until 5 September, offering visitors and residents from around the world numerous shopping and entertainment options as well as many winning opportunities.

‘Pixels in the City’ at CITY WALK will run throughout the length of DSS until 5 September and is open during CITY WALK’s hours of operation.

Mohammed who is 14-years-old arrived at CITY WALK with his 9-year-old brother Nahyan who is also a video gamer like his sibling. Their mother, who accompanied the brothers to Dubai, spoke about how excited her sons have been about the attraction and are taking home amazing memories they will cherish for a long time.

Featuring a line-up of 20 video gaming stations, Pixels in the City at CITY WALK has been drawing video gamers of all ages and nationalities at one place – where they are having an action-packed time.

“My brother and I have come to Dubai from Al Ain especially for ‘Pixels in the City’. We got to know that a lot of the games here are inspired from the recently released Pixels movie. For that reason, we wanted to make sure that we check out all the games here and that brought us to Dubai,” said Mohammed Al Kaaki.

His brother Nahyan, added, “I am very happy that we came to ‘Pixels in the City’ as it has lined up a series of video games for gaming fans of all ages. I spent my time playing a lot of them and they are super fun.”

UAE resident Sanad Faris from Jordan, said, “I got to know about ‘Pixels in the City’ from the internet and newspapers. I am very happy to be here as most of the video games here integrate state-of-the-art effects and offer so much fun. Through these games, I have also learnt how to focus and move on to higher levels to play additional levels free-of-charge.”

‘Pixels in the City’ has attracted not only teens, but also the older video gamers, who are also taking time out to enjoy the stunning array of video games. 28-year-old Mujahid Mirza from the United States, said, “I have come to CITY WALK with my brother Mazhar, and a couple of other friends.  We had a blast at ‘Pixels in the City’ even though we could only spend a few hours here.”

26-year-old Mazhar, said: “We spotted a variety of different video games that are suitable for all generations. What is interesting about the games here is that they range from racing cars to war games and 3D games to music games – offering an exciting mix to choose from.
