Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (PSUAD) concluded its Open Day activity that took place today from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. in the Atrium, the PSUAD campus on Al Reem Island.
More than 1500 participant from students, faculty, professionals and parents attended the event, where they were offered the opportunity to take a tour of the premises, and get an idea about the programs available at PSUAD. The university’s management was represented by Dr. Fatima Saeed al Shamsi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administrative Affairs and Dr. Francois Xavier, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.
Khaled Younes Abdallah Al Baloushi, a student from Al Maali International Private School, Abu Dhabi said: “The Open Day event that Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi organized is a unique opportunity that brings together under one platform students from different schools across the UAE to know more about the available Bachelors programmes offered by PSUAD. I was so happy to participate in the Open Day as it’s a distinguished initiative to highlight the French education for undergraduate students”.
Al Baloushi added: "I have also launched my own project that aims to serve the community, and joining Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi will give me the chance to develop my skills and Academic competences, in order to achieve more future projects”.
Alia Lary, a student in the Elite private school, Abu Dhabi said: " My participation in the Open day event that PSUAD organized today, provided me with a clearer idea about the Bachelor programmes at PSUAD as well as the other services and facilities that the university offers such as a fully equipped gym, music and art rooms; which help students to develop their different skills”.
Lary added: “I also participated in the different workshops that took place and which highlighted all the programmes that the university offers in details. Additionally, I had the chance to meet the professors and familiarize with the administration process as I am very interested to joining PSUAD to learn a new language and benefit from the most significant landmarks of the French civilization”.
The Open Day included a number of workshops, activities, interactive panel discussions with the heads of departments, to discuss Bachelors and Masters programs, shedding light on programs and teaching methods. Furthermore, there were opportunities to take a tour of the PSUAD campus to visit the facilities, including the Library which has more than 100 thousand titles in French, Arabic, English, and other languages. There was also a visit tour of the PSUAD’s gym which is equipped with the latest sports equipment and playgrounds, as well as a tour of the music and arts rooms and the theatre; all available to students for a balanced academic and campus life.
It is important to be note that PSUAD offers its Bachelors programs in French and its Masters programs in English.
