Oasis Mall to host ‘Books2Benefit’ in support of the community‘

Oasis Mall, the neighborhood mall part of Landmark Group, is hosting the Books2Benefit drive, a community book sale on the 18th and 19th of September to encourage good reading habits amongst members of the community. The proceeds raised from the sale of these books will be donated to support the children of Al Manzil Special Needs.

Members of the community were invited to donate books in good condition to support the cause. Good Samaritans and our longstanding patrons from all over the city donated books at a series of collection points in community areas of Dubai.

Expressing his thoughts on the campaign, Sanjay Kapoor, General Manager, Oasis Mall said: “We always endeavor to do business responsibly, making positive contributions and adding value to people around us.  With this campaign, we aim to further instill good reading habits amongst members of the community, which is dwindling especially among the new generation. More than a fundraiser, this book sale is a platform for book-lovers in Dubai. We will continue to create meaningful campaigns, making a difference in our communities.”

Ursula Manvatkar, Founder of Medulla (event organizer of Books2Benefit) said: “We are overwhelmed by the great response received from the community who contributed to the large number of books received as donation for the book-sale at Oasis Mall. We are extremely proud to lead this initiative; we believe in joining forces with partners from the community and for this I would like to thank Oasis Mall for their continued support. Our aim is always to spread happiness and draw a smile on children’s faces.”    

The charity book sale will take place in Oasis Mall on the two days  from 2pm to 10pm. Books across all categories from novels, non-fiction, fiction, children’s books, travel books and much more will be available at the sale; price ranges begin at AED 1.
