NEW CAR SERVICE TECHNOLOGY GETS VEHICLES BACK ON UAE’S ROADS FASTER

  • Bosch computer software cuts time cars spend at workshops across Emirates

Motorists frustrated when told it will take up to two days to get their car serviced can take heart from new technology guaranteeing rapid turnaround of vehicles at workshops across the UAE.

High volumes of vehicles taken in at many of the bigger service centres spend much of the time in a queue waiting for their turn, often leaving owners without their cars for 48 hours.

By contrast, the UAE-wide network of Bosch Car Service workshops is constantly working to reduce the time needed for cars to be serviced, and the latest around-the-wheel technology and equipment in use is paying dividends.

“We’re constantly working to accelerate the process of car servicing,” said Andreas Bodemer, Regional President of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Middle East and Africa.

“The days of a car mechanic turning up for work with nothing to help him other than his trusty tool bag are, of course, long gone. Computer software technology is now the mechanic’s best friend at all of our workshops.

“They save time thanks to the speed and precision of the latest Bosch Diagnostics and around the wheel equipment, and that’s good news for the average motorist who wants his car back on the road as soon as possible.”

The Bosch Car Service Network of independently owned service centres in the UAE are among more than 70,000 worldwide using the industry leading Esitronic workshop software which makes a mechanic’s life much easier.

It quickly helps to deliver troubleshooting and repair instructions, and mechanics are helped by regular user-friendly improvements and updates which give them access to current data for almost all types of vehicles.

Separate software modules give mechanics comprehensive support to quickly handle the specific requirements of commercial-vehicle and bikes.

Assembly and disassembly instructions of components inside vehicles and on the exterior – including lights, operating and display units, and sensors – are now also integrated into the Esitronic software package.

High-resolution photos with integrated notes show mechanics the steps to follow for

the most common models. They are also given quick and easy methods for service tasks such as changing brake fluid, replacing filters or even the windshield.

Bosch Car Service Centres in the UAE meet the highest standards in technical training, service and process quality.

All guarantee the use of genuine spare parts and equipment for bumper to bumper repairs, a key requirement for UAE motorists looking for a cost-effective alternative to car dealer service centres, without turning to back street operators with unclear repair processes.
