Naqi Water Co. signed a contract for the purchase and supply of a production line for the production of bottled drinking water in various sizes with Middle East Machinery Factory Co. Ltd. (MEMCO) for the establishment of its new factory in the city of Riyadh, at a value of EUR 8.5 million (SAR 37.7 million).
In a statement to Tadawul, the company clarified that the contract comes as part of the company's expansion plan to establish a new factory for the production of bottled drinking water in Riyadh. It noted that the contract will be self-financed by the company
Naqi Water expects the asset in question to increase its production capacity by approximately 700 million bottles per annum under normal operating capacity conditions. It also forecasts the related financial impact to appeal during Q4 2026.
The company also noted that Middle East Machinery Factory Company Ltd. (MEMCO) is a related party, as one of its major shareholders owns 50% in addition to owning 50% of Saqa Company (which owns 35% of Naqi.
