Marina Mall showcases young talent through collaboration with The British School of Al Khubairat

Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi’s leading shopping destination, recently welcomed Phoenix Davies, a student from The British School of Al Khubairat (BSAK), to showcase her creative talent as part of the school’s work placement programme. Final year high school student, Phoenix Davis got a taste of the working life at Chateau Des Enfants, part of Al Mubarak holding, as she had the opportunity to design and put together a unique window display for their branch at Marina Mall. Her design, a unique combination between art and colour, has delighted shoppers during the holy month of Ramadan.

Commenting on the initiative, Bruce von Kaufmann, General Manager at Marina Mall Abu Dhabi, said: “It is great for us to be able to give experience to Abu Dhabi students who are looking for a career in retail.  Marina Mall showcases some of the best brands in the world so for Phoenix to have designed a window, which looks fantastic alongside these global names is a great achievement.”

Helen Monaghan Greene, Head of Sixth Form at BSAK, said: “I am delighted that Phoenix has completed a successful placement at Chateau des Enfants. Phoenix is a talented student and to be given the opportunity to design her own window display is fantastic, particularly as she intends to pursue a career in design. Work experience is incredibly important for students as it gives them the opportunity to gain a valuable insight into a specific career and to demonstrate an interest in and a passion for a career, which is something admissions tutors look for in a university application.
