Marina Mall Abu Dhabi celebrates Flag Day

Flags were raised high by Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi’s leading shopping destination yesterday in honour of the UAE’s Flag Day. The Mall’s management, alongside a team of employees, lifted the UAE’s flag above the main entrance to further commemorate the tradition and heritage of the UAE. In addition, 5,000 scarves adorned with the UAE’s national flag were distributed amongst mall-goers in honour of Flag Day, giving them the opportunity to participate in the nation-wide celebration. 

Marina Mall Abu Dhabi celebrations were part of a national initiative led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who has called upon all UAE citizens and government departments to hoist the UAE flag to commemorate the appointment of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s as President of the UAE.
