Mahec Hosts Its First Hyderabad Food Festival

Newly opened fine dine restaurant and lounge - Mahec at Le Meridian Village in Garhoud will host its first Hyderabad Food Festival from 5th to 20th May.

 

Hyderabad has been the meeting place of different cultures and traditions. A patron of art and literature – the city is more popularly known for its cuisine, which is a blend of Indian, Mughal and Persian influences. Several dishes are also very closely related to the Middle Eastern cuisine. Legendary Satish Arora and two chefs from the Hyderabad House (formerly known as Palace of the Nizam of Hyderabad was a princely residence of Osman Ali Khan, Nizam VII) have teamed up to offer a new menu with 36 traditional dishes of Hyderabad.

 

From grills, curries to dessert; some of the famous vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes will include - Hyderabadi Biryani, Bagara Baingen, Kebabs and Boti, Khubani ka Mitha and Haleem amongst others.

 

Satish Arora (Popular chef and mentor to several well-known chefs across the global) said, “Hyderabad is a hotpot of many cultures and this diversity shows in their food. The Hyderabad Food Festival at Mahec will let your taste buds travel to a place of rich cultural history. We will introduce some of the popular dishes the city is known for and we welcome all to indulge in this true delectable cuisine. “

 

Rohit Khagram, Co-owner, Mahec said, “Mahec is already getting a welcoming response from diners since its launch. We are committed to offering the true taste of Indian cuisine. Hyderabadi food is one cuisine that is liked by many. We are glad to be associated with the legendary Satish Arora, who will lead the festival. In addition, we have two Chefs from the Hyderabad House who cook only for the royal family and VIPs. They will now be catering to Mahec’s customers.”

 

Co-owned by new management (Rohit Khagram, Kamlesh Parekh and Bharat Harpalani) – the restaurant is stylishly designed and has a 180 seating capacity -  including indoor and outdoor. With complete new interiors the restaurant has a modern colonial style with wooden floors / furnishing and chandeliers. Catering to different dining preferences; the restaurant is divided into three sections – dining area, well stocked bar and lounge and outdoors/ terrace for shisha.
