JEAN-GEORGES VONGERICHTEN OFFICIALLY OPENS ITS DOORS IN DUBAI

Critically acclaimed Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has officially opened the doors to his first UAE restaurant; JG Dubai.Gourmands are invited to experience Jean-Georges’ vision, reflected in two distinct spaces housed under one roof; JG Dining Room, a fine dining venue and JG Kitchen, a relaxed all day restaurant. Open in partnership with the GFD Group,a hospitality company that is redefining the art of dining in the Emirates, JG Dubai is situated at the landmark address, Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach.

JG Dubai has been designed by French designer, Gwenael Nicolas. The elegant interior landscape is presented around a series of elements; an urban inspired outdoor terrace and elegant mirrored lounge connect each restaurant, punctuating the space with natural light.

Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavour. Collectively in each restaurant Jean-Georges serves exquisitely crafted creations blending French, American and Asian influences.

Jean-Georges presents a refined collection of internationally-influenced dishes at JG Kitchen, a casually chic café. Adorned with wood, stone and white shells, the restaurant showcases an exhibition-style open kitchen and contemporary chandelier of flowing white fabric, created by Japanese fabric artist, Reiko Sudoh. JG Kitchen serves seasonal produce, executed with a progressive and innovative touch. Seared Scallops with green chili butter and spring peas, Snapper Ceviche withgreen chili, lime puffed rice and cilantro and for a sweet touch a Salted Caramel Ice Cream Sundae, Candied Peanuts and Popcorn encourage ‘social dining’ through a sharing concept.

JG Dining Room, a sophisticated and refined culinary setting, highlights Jean-Georges’ signature and three-course prix-fixe menus, offering traditional tastings of the chef’s renowned and seasonal dishes. The Dining Room is organized around an installation of suspended hand-blown glass chandeliers, artfully illuminating the space, setting the stage for Jean-Georges’ latest flavours and creations. Featuring carefully selected and sourced products, JG Dining Room notably presents signature caviar creations including, Sorrento Lemon Gelee with caviar crème fraiche and Warm Glazed Potatoes with caviar, tapioca and herbs.

Three Michelin starred Chef, Jean-Georges continues to make culinary history and develop a reputation as remarkable as his food. With 26 restaurants in 10 cities worldwide the restaurants represent an exciting new step for his boundless talent and cater to a range of moods and occasions. The diverse offerings promise to become a one-stop destination for unsurpassed dining in Dubai.
