Industry Ministry issues 83 new licenses in June

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 83 new industrial licenses in June, while 58 new factories began production during the same month, according to the National Industrial and Mining Information Center (NIIC).

The ministry said in a statement today, July 28 that investments linked to these new licenses amounted to more than SAR 950 million, with the related projects expected to create over 1,188 job opportunities across the Kingdom.

The ongoing factories in the Kingdom reached 12,480 in June, a rise of 11% compared with 11,249 a year earlier and 12,382 in May.
