In order to obtain education through play of a prestigious level, Derby nursery is reaching out to parents implementing the best methods.
In order to present the best educational and entertainment services to children, Derby Nursery in Sharjah has decided to hold an open week with parents who will have the opportunity to follow their children around the nursery so that they can get familiar with the program that the nursery offers and give their suggestions concerning the program.
The open week is from Sunday the 5th of April until Thursday the 9th of April, from the hours of 9AM to 1PM.
“With an increased awareness from parents and guardians regarding the importance of preparing their children with the latest educational methods a necessity is born for managements of nurseries to interact with parents to form a partnership between the parents and the nursery engaging in play activities to become skillful learners. This is the true value of the open week experience.” said the principal of the nursery Ansofie Reeders, “By setting aside a week for communication between parents and staff, parents will know about the capabilities of the nursery and the nursery will know what parents want for their children.” She added that the nursery provides a healthy, fun and unique learning environment that helps nurture talents and abilities in many fields.
Reeders also mentioned that the most important thing is to prepare children for primary school with a readiness for life-long learning that will help them excel in future stages of education.
Fida Saif, the administrative manager said that staff were chosen with careful consideration, and that mainly Early Years teachers from the UK and South Africa were chosen, as these countries have similar curricula. Staff also has to be well experienced in early education, but will be given additional training at being good listeners and facilitators, being responsive to each child’s unique needs and allowing children the freedom to play and explore under supervision.
She believes that the learning program and dedicated services offered at the nursery does not only match international levels but exceed them.
