IGCF 2015 Set to Raise Curtains Today

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the fourth International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2015) is set to raise curtains today (22 Sunday) at the Expo Centre Sharjah.

Held under the theme “Specific Actions...Better Results”, the forum will gather more than 40 regional and international leaders including heads of state, academic, political and media figures, prominent thought leaders and communication experts. The event is also geared to draw the participation of more than 2,500 government communication professionals, university students, government and media representatives.

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi will deliver the opening speech along with the Lebanese President General Michel Sleiman (2008-2014). His Highness will also attend the second day of the forum, which will include a keynote speech from President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia, and a live interview with Lakhdar Brahimi, Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations (2004-2005).

It is worth mentioning that IGCF 2015 will convene some of the most prominent leaders and decision makers from around the world, including Julia Gillard, 27th Prime Minister of Australia, and Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission (2004-2014) and Prime Minister of Portugal (2002-2004).
