HotelTonight checks-in to the UAE with launch in Dubai

HotelTonight, the leading mobile-only booking platform for high-quality, last-minute hotel rooms, launches in Dubai. As of today, leisure travellers, business people and those looking to have more fun and live more spontaneous lives will have access to great rooms in Dubai at a reduced rate, as hotels look to fill unsold rooms at the last minute.

The addition of the Dubai as a HotelTonight destination further delivers on the company’s commitment to international expansion, adding to the recent country launches of Russia and Australia earlier this year and bringing the total number of countries where consumers can use HotelTonight to 35.

The hotel industry continues to look to the UAE, and specifically Dubai, as a key destination and opportunity for leisure, business and shopping travellers, and it has long been one of the most requested locations amongst HotelTonight users. With over sixty-five thousand hotel rooms in Dubai and one in every four rooms going empty every night on average, the opportunity for hotels to market and sell unoccupied rooms is huge. HotelTonight delivers by helping move these rooms, generating incremental revenue while allowing hotels to maintain control of their brand image and margins.

“Beyond the obvious benefit to hotels using HotelTonight, consumers now have a fantastic opportunity to live a life less planned and experience the fantastic hotels that Dubai has to offer at reduced prices,’ says Bao Dinh, General Manager Middle East and French Speaking Countries at HotelTonight. “We offer a convenient, mobile-only, hotel booking platform for that last-minute beach resort staycation, the spontaneous weekend trip, the forgotten anniversary surprise, or simply for the person addicted to the service and atmosphere a great hotel has to offer and who wants to stay ‘just one more night’”.

Hotels that have already committed to working with HotelTonight in Dubai include landmark properties from international chains to some of the best independently run establishments in the city, and everything in between.  While initial marketing efforts will focus on promoting HotelTonight’s curated collection of hotels in Dubai, a number of properties in other Emirates will also make their rooms available on the platform, a portfolio of properties that will be developed and expanded over time.
