Hamriyah Free Zone CFO Ramesh Named CFO of the Year

TV Ramesh, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) has won the CFO of the Year award in the public sector for the MENA region

The CFO Award ceremony  was staged at the end of the two-day CFO Strategies Forum MENA  with a think tank of experts from across the MENA region on October 26th at the Sofitel The Palm in Dubai.

Ramesh received the award from Sophie Le Ray, CEO of Naseba Business Information Company, the organizer of the event.  The award recognize the important contribution of CFOs in delivering results and achieving success for their organizations. 

"I am deeply honored to be named as the MENA CFO of the Year,” Ramesh said  after receiving the award.  In his speech, he  stressed the importance of changing role of the CFO in the current business environment

Now in its ninth year, the CFO Strategies Forum MENA is a region-wide platform for financial leaders to share knowledge, network and keep pace with the latest financial strategies adopted by some of the largest corporations in the Middle East.

TV Ramesh, who hails from Kerala in India, has been associated with HFZA for the last 19 years. He  is also serving Sharjah Airport International Free Zone as an Advisor on financial and strategic matters, since 2012.

Ramesh has proven to be a leader with a consistent track record for managing a successful organization and is a recipient of many recognitions and awards, including the Best Employee Award from the Government of Sharjah in 2002. In June 2015,he was recognized as “Free Zone Personality of the Year” during a CFO meet organized by Crowe Horwath in Dubai. He  is also active in social and philanthropic organizations.

Hamriyah Free Zone is the second largest industrial free zone in the U A E, spreading over 30  square kilometers of land and currently hosts more than 6200 companies.

The CFO Strategies Forum is an annual event which brings together over 100 CFOs from across the Middle East and North Africa. This year’s event was attended by an audience of CEOs, CFOs, and other financial leaders from across the Middle East.
