Golden Sands Hotel Apartments, part of A.A. Al Moosa Enterprises and pioneered the concept of hotel apartments in the region, receives a monthly average of 25% to 30% of their total hotel guests from the Indian market.
“The Indian market is in our top three visitors because we offer good value for their money and because of our ideal location thus we are expecting an increased number of guests from this market this year, both from our loyal and new guests,” said Mr Mohammed Khoori, General Manager.
The team of Golden Sands Hotel Apartments recently participated in SATTE, South Asia’s leading B2B travel and tourism trade exhibition held in New Delhi, India and returned with very positive response from meeting with a number of agents who expressed increased interest in promoting the property to this market.
Ms Nives Deininger, Director of Sales added: “Dubai is an attractive destination not only as a stopover or transit point for the Indian travellers, but also as a city with many attractions, such as the Dubai Shopping Festival, Global Village and much more. Additionally, Golden Sands Hotel Apartments is located in Bur Dubai, close to areas such as the Creek, Meena Bazaar, as well as being in an area where there are abundant restaurants offering vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisines so our property is an ideal accommodation for both business and leisure travellers.”
Recent reports indicated that bookings in Dubai’s tourism industry are looking strong for the first quarter of this year. Last year’s figure showed that the city is attracting tourists from a wide range of countries, with Asia being the largest source of growth, with a 26% year-on-year jump in Indian visitors to more than 1.6 million people, making India Dubai’s number one source of visitors.
The team met with existing and potential agents to discuss their summer promotions such as minimum stays discount to guests staying with their families. They also recognized the top producers to GSHA and awarded them with trophies.
Golden Sands Hotel Apartments reveals that it will again participate in SATTE next year to promote the property to other areas within the Subcontinent. This year, SATTE received over 750 participants from over 35 countries and 28 Indian states resulting to 20,000 travel trade attendees, an increase of 50% over last year.
