Global Village has started the preparations for its 21st season that will open its doors to guests for 159 days from 1st November to 8th April 2017. The announcement comes just two weeks after the park completed a record breaking 20thanniversary season when they welcomed 5.3 million guests. Global Village also received a score of 9 out of 10 in its annual Guest Happiness Index that uses a range of parameters to judge satisfaction levels across a wide range of touch points for the visitor experience.
Guests are also spending more time during each visit with the average time of five hours, encouraged by the greater focus on entertainment last season that saw over 13,000 shows and helping generate a ranking of 9.1 out of 10 in relation to the impact of the enormous range and variety of shows on offer.
Rankings for the visitor’s experience of thrill rides rated Fantasy Island at 8.7 with the score for the overall variety of the pavilion experience and their variety reaching 8.9.

We will certainly make sure to enhance these experiences during the 21st season which will start its activities on the 1st of November 2016 until the 8th of April 2017 for 159 days, through more creativity and innovation and collaboration with our partners”
Eating out remains a hugely popular pastime for Global Village guests who can enjoy a variety of food outlets including 20 restaurants and cafés and 100 kiosks serving cuisines from all across the world – and this led to guests ranking Global Village 9.2 on its overall food experience. This season Global Village also created a hugely popular “street food” experience that enabled guests to sample a huge array of different street food from around the world.
The visitor experience for the 20th season was also transformed by the introduction of a new main gate - ‘Gate of the World’ – that featured 40 turnstile entrances and 40 ticketing counters making buying tickets and entering the park an easier and simpler experience than ever before. , The Entrance and Ticketing Experience was rated 8.6 out of 10 in the guest happiness survey. UAE guests continue to dominate the visitor profile of Global Village at 25% of the balance comprising tourists from the region and around the world and 75% from the UAE residents.
Now preparations are already well underway to continue the investment and development of the region’s most popular outdoor visitor destination with many new and exciting offers set to welcome guests when Global Village opens for its 21st season on 1st November.
