Empower urges real estate developers to adopt district cooling as a cost-effective and environment-friendly method

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the largest district cooling services provider in the world, urged real estate development companies participating at Cityscape Abu Dhabi, a significant real estate event taking place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 12 to 14 April, to put district cooling on top of their priority list when launching new projects for energy efficiency, cost effectiveness, and least environmental impact.

H.E Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, said that these companies hold a major responsibility to disseminate the district cooling use as their technical teams are fully aware of the direct benefits of district cooling to themselves, end-users, economy and society as a whole.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Cityscape Abu Dhabi brings under one roof a host of real estate companies from all over the world. 

Bin Shafar said that district cooling technology saves operational and maintenance costs and preserves natural resources, making it the natural choice in real estate projects, especially the newly launched ones.

He added that generally, real estate companies in this region are aware of their responsibility to foster the district cooling technology and expand its use in their projects.

Bin Shafar said that time has come to abandon conventional cooling services in favor of district cooling that is environmentally friendly and less energy consuming and most importantly it ensures high quality cooling for the end user.
