Empower to ASHRAE Expo 2016 in Orlando, U.S.

A senior delegation headed by H.E Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, headed to Orlando, USA to participate in the AHR Expo that is being held from 23 to 27 January at the sidelines of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Winter Conference 2016. Through this participation, Empower is exchanging expertise and discussing with international participants new trends of district cooling across the region, and the world.

 

HE Ahmad Bin Shafar commented that global events such as this one are essential to exchange expertise and best practices. Elaborating on this year’s event, Bin Shafar also said: “In line with the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai an innovation hub, Empower is keen to take part in global events to establish firm connections with leading players in the district cooling industry. This will push forward our R&D efforts and innovation development in the district cooling sector and it will enhance further transfer of advanced technologies to be deployed in our operations in the region. We enjoy strong relationships with international industry bodies such as ASHRAE, and this annual Winter Conference and Expois a prominent venue to review the development of the industryinternationally.”

 

Empower annually takes part in ASHRAE Conferences and Expos, due to its keenness to play a key role in developing district cooling sector in the world according to the highest standards and practices. The company receives an invitation to join the event for its global leadership in the industry, and for the necessity of district cooling service in the Gulf region, compared to Western countries.

 

Every year, Empower enriches ASHRAE with the latest trends in district cooling, as it operates in a region where cooling is extremely essential throughout most of the year. It also presents its experience in balancing between supply and demand, applying sustainable practices of conserving energy and water, and reducing carbon emissions.
