Empower receives Integrated Management Systems re-certification

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling company, was successfully re-certified for Integrated Management Systems by Bureau Veritas, a global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC). The re-certification was completed after being audited by Bureau Veritas. The achievement is a clear indicator of Empower's excellence and ongoing commitment to integrate and adopt world class practices and measures in the fields of quality, health, and safety.

Empower was audited for three management systems ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007, and Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001:2004.  The certifications recognise set of standards for Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.

“This recertification reflects Empower's intensive efforts to improve the quality of service and further enhance performance of occupational health, safety and environment systems. This new achievement will be added to Empower's track record of corporate excellence and international recognition of its high performance levels. Empower adheres to the highest of international standards and strives to provide world-class service to our customers to ensure their comfort and happiness,” added Bin Shafar.

We give great attention to the research and development to provide quality services that support sustainability, rationalisation culture, and safety,” concluded Bin Shafar. 

Empower has successfully boosted the use of District Cooling instead of traditional air-conditioning in different parts of Dubai which has resulted in reducing the volume of energy consumption in the emirate and preserving natural resources, and reducing operational and maintenance costs in residential and commercial units.

Empower currently operates more than 1 Million RT, providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments, such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World Trade Centre Residences and Dubai Design District, among others.
