Empower distributes more than 5000 Iftar meals to laborers during Ramadan

As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and in order to strengthen engagement with its workforce, Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, distributed more than 5000 Iftar meals to its laborers throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

“Our Ramadan Iftar initiative reflects on our endeavors to provide an ideal work environment that fosters creativity across employees and laborers as we believe in their instrumental role in improving the quality of our services to reach excellence,” said HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, Chief Executive Officer.

“The initiative is a form of gratitude to our employees in all areas in the workplace. We truly honor their role in providing the highest levels of services to our customers at all times especially during the month of fasting. It also shows our company’s role in the community and its efforts to maintain highest standards possible in the workplace,” he added.

“The initiative is part of the company’s long term goal to achieve a high level of employees’ satisfaction. It reflects positively on the employees who realise that they play an important factor in the development and progress of the company in its pursuit of implementing the highest standards of quality and reliability,” he added.

Meals were daily distributed to employees, security personnel, cleaners and others in Empower’s headquarters, accommodation, and plants. This step aids in reducing employees’ fatigue while fasting and helps them work to the best of their ability. Employees have expressed their gratitude to this initiative which truly showed them the appreciation of the senior management and its eagerness to spread happiness amongst employees throughout Ramadan.

Empower currently operates more than 1,100,000 RT, providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments, such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World Trade Centre Residences and Dubai Design District, among others.
