Dubai Customs observes 44th UAE National Day with grand festivities

Dubai Customs today celebrated the 44th UAE National Day, at its head office in presence of H.E. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, and H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs. 

H.E. Sultan bin Sulayem congratulated the wise leadership and the people of the United Arab Emirates as well as the community members of Dubai Customs on the glorious occasion of the Union’s 44th anniversary. 

He said: “Today we celebrate the UAE National Day to show our deep feelings of love and loyalty to the nation. This love manifests itself in the many great achievements that have been made in such a very short history of 44 years only. Those achievements are the fruits of farsighted vision, hard work and dedication, and we look ahead to a much brilliant future, full of success and accomplishment at the hands of devoted Emirati men and women.”         

On this occasion, H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, extended warm congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.

 

 

 

“By celebrating this occasion of the UAE’s 44th National day, we are sending a clear message to  the whole world that the United Arab Emirates is unified and will unswervingly remain committed to the union and legacy of the founding fathers, which has brought security, stability and prosperity to our dear nation,” said Ahmed Mahboob.

Festive events took place in parallel with the official celebration of 44th UAE National Day at Dubai Customs. Employees and senior management all gathered to see the UAE flag raised high on the rhymes of the national anthem. Everyone enjoyed the grand festivities that also included a military parade performed by a group of customs inspectors and an operate performance by Emirati talented young chanter, Ibrahim Al Obaidly, titled “Dar al-Fakhar” (House of Pride). 

Later, everybody was invited to tour and relish the Classic Cars show and the miniature Heritage Village that were set up around Dubai Customs main building.
