du participates in Tawdheef, the leading recruitment fair for UAE Nationals in Abu Dhabi
In line with its mission to nurture home-grown UAE talent, du is having a strong presence at the Tawdheef Recruitment Fair, held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development. This marks the 10 consecutive year that du participates in the fair. As part of the event, which takes place from 2-4 February at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), du will be inviting educated Emiratis to its stand (4A30) to discuss career-development objectives and explore potential job openings at the company.
This year, at the fair, aspiring candidates – with experience – will have the unique chance to interact directly with du hiring managers, market themselves to the recruitment team, and receive imminent feedback on their profile.
Through the Tawdheef Recruitment Fair, du is looking to fill a total of 18 vacant positions, spanning various specializations.
“Through our participation in the Tawdheef Recruitment Fair, we aim to strengthen the employment of high-performing UAE nationals,” said Ibrahim Nassir, Chief Human Capital & Administration Officer, du. “Since its founding, du has remained committed to the Emiratisation vision of the UAE. Our mission is to provide UAE nationals with limitless opportunities to deepen their expertise and develop their full potential.”
He added, “Over the years, du has emerged as an employer of choice. The company’s thriving work culture and exceptional environment make it ideally-suited to qualified candidates. Ultimately, our goal is to elevate their careers and serve as a springboard for success.”
du has, in recent years, given young Emiratis a strong start to their careers by offering them the option to participate in several du initiatives including the Masar Sponsorship programme, the Masar Graduate Trainee (GT) programme and Maharat.
Last year, du garnered the coveted GCC Best Employer Brand Award 2014. Moreover, in 2014, du received several accolades lauding its commitment to employees. At the Gallup Great Workplace Awards, du was the only telecommunications company to be recognised amongst the global top 36 companies, based on its high employee engagement levels. du was also recognised as Employer of the Year by Dubai Women’s College, celebrating the company’s
continued efforts to provide employment opportunities for UAE nationals, in addition to building a strong corporate culture and a nurturing career environment that encourages employee growth.
In 2013, as part of its commitment to promoting education, du joined forces with the American University in Dubai (AUD) to launch a scholarship programme open to Emirati high school students.
