Corporates Unite for Football, Fun and Fundraising at Al Noor!

The Al Noor – Bank of Sharjah CSR Football Tournament gave football lovers a chance to take to the pitch and support the Centre on 26th and 27th February 2016 at ANISA (Al Noor Indoor Sports Auditorium).

 

Al Noor Training Centre once again successfully used the power of sport to motivate, educate and inspire the community for the cause of special needs. 

 

14 teams with 140 players from various companies across the UAE came together in support of the tournament. DULSCO was the winner of the coveted trophy, the first Runner-up was FEDEX and the second runner up was DAIMLER MIDDLE EAST. The best player of the Tournament title was taken home by Mr. Thomas Obi from DULSCO and the Best Goal Keeper of the Tournament was Mr. Mohmoud Awis from DAIMLER MIDDLE EAST. 

 

The match, very balanced and entertaining, ended with a positive result beyond winning and losing. There was no one winner; as everyone took back home a sense of pride and contentment to be a part of the tournament. 

 

Special mention to the Title Sponsor, Bank of Sharjah and the Prize Sponsor L’Oreal for their support and making the tournament a success.

For the fourth year in a row, Bank of Sharjah extended support as the Title Sponsor of the event. Ms. Aida Armali, Manager of Bank of Sharjah said, “As part of the Bank’s overall CSR policy, we are proud to be part of this initiative and its rewarding on both professional and personal level to  be a part of the Family Fun Fair.

 

Mrs. Isphana Al Khatib, Director of the Centre, expressed her delight saying “We are thoroughly overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm with which the teams have participated. The event is close to our hearts as the funds raised go to the centre’s annual budget for the welfare of our students. Every year the business community displays its positive regard towards our efforts and cause and we cannot be thankful enough.”

 

AHDAAF Sports Club, which is based in Dubai, managed the tournament for Al Noor Centre. Established in 2008, Ahdaaf’s mission is to promote a healthy lifestyle and bridge the gap between different communities through sports. 

 

The tournament was held in ANISA- Al Noor Indoor Sports Auditorium, which is one of Dubai’s strategically located all-purpose indoor sports stadium with upgraded amenities. The corporate companiesgot to experience the facilities of ANISA hands onIt was a delight for the participants to experience the thrill of football in such a professional atmosphere.
