Dr Saoud Al Mulla, Director of the HCT-Dubai colleges, welcomed HE Hisashi Michigami, Consul General of Japan in Dubai, on May 10 during his visit to the HCT-Dubai Men’s College (DMC) where he gave a speech on the Japanese culture and the relations between his country and the UAE.
Dr Faouzi Bouslama, President of the DMC Japanese Culture Club and CIS programme chair at DMC, was also present during the visit.

Dr Al Mulla noted the importance of this visit in supporting joint projects between DMC students and the Japanese Consulate in Dubai. He also discussed with the Consul a number of proposed programmes to support innovation among students by allowing them to get acquainted with the latest Japanese innovations across different fields of science.
Dr Faouzi Bouslama said that the talk was part of a series of club activities provided to DMC students in order to increase their awareness about Japan and its culture.

He said that through these extracurricular activities, DMC students will be able to discover many aspects of life and society in Japan and get involved in various club activities such as calligraphy, paper folding, and conversations to increase their inter-cultural and soft skills.
