Coca-Cola Middle East makes wishes come true as consumers’

Coca-Cola continues to spread happiness to the Asian community from a small red booth in Dubai. A series of “Wish Booths” were set up across the city whereby expats in the UAE could enter into and make a wish to better the lives of their families back home.
Once the wishes were recorded, the Coke teams then set about making some of them come true. Lucky wishes were picked at random, taking the team to remote villages and towns in India, Pakistan and the Philippines to fulfil UAE expat’s wishes and make people’s lives better.
Coca-Cola flew to India to re-build Ashraf Alam’s parents roof, which was severely damaged from extreme weather conditions and to enable Mohamed Rizwan’s children to complete their education. The team also flew to Pakistan where they built a machine for Mohamed Rashid’s elderly parents to better irrigate their farm land. Lastly the Wish Upon a Coke team went to the Philippines where they set up a sustainable family income Grocery Store for Rhodora’s elderly mother. This enabled the old lady to more effectively sell her fish every day and saved her walking miles to sell door-to-door.
Simultaneously Coca-Cola launched the nationwide ‘Wish Upon a Coke’ under the cap promotion across Coca-Cola, Coke Light and Coke Zero bottles and cans where people could win airline tickets, free meals and Cokes, and a range of electronics products that could be shipped back home to their families by Coca-Cola.
The Wish Upon a Coke campaign is an ongoing effort to spread happiness to the Asian community in the UAE. Each of these fulfilled wishes shows how happiness really is a Coca-Cola and a wish come true.
