- Celebrating 150 Years of Winter Tourism


- The Tourism Organization Engadin St. Moritz with CEO Clubs UAE co-hosted CEO Clubs Dinner Meeting at Shangri La Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road. This networking event is organized with the intention to create new business opportunities along with showcasing the glamorous activities planned at St. Moritz for the years and claiming its place within the map of the world in terms of winter and summer tourism.

The CEO of Tourism Organization Engadin St. Moritz Ms. Ariane Ehrat said that “This year, St. Moritz and Switzerland is celebrating 150 Years of winter tourism that means both an honor and a responsibility” the reason being that St. Moritz is the oldest winter holiday resort of the world and has been in operation since 1864, and its hotel pioneers have been recognized and appreciated for their efforts in the history of winter tourism on various occasions. It is considered that the commitment and innovative spirit that these pioneers possessed has led to St. Moritz being on the top for so many years.
Ms. Ariane Ehrat mentioned that St. Moritz is looking forward to welcoming visitors from GCC during summer and winter seasons as St. Moritz has a lot to offer not only for the entire family but also sports and nature enthusiasts at any given point in time. She further added that St. Moritz has seen a drastic increase in the total number of visitors from GCC last year and she wishes the same continues on for this year. Ms. Mirjam Bruder, The Head of Marketing Development and Ms. Katja Schneider, Sales Manager also spoke at the event about the rich and magnificent history of St. Moritz. She provided an insight into the customs and traditions followed at St. Moritz even to this present day. It is an ideal place where the past meets the present in perfect harmony. It is no wonder that St. Moritz has been a popular destination for travel enthusiasts looking for fun and relaxation.
