Centrepoint, the region’s largest family fashion retailer, celebrated Mothers’ Day this year with a special gift for new mothers. The brand, which is currently running a #BetterWithYou campaign to highlight efforts of woman in the region, surprised mothers that delivered at local hospitals on the 21st of March as part of their initiative.
Centrepoint’s offerings, which include products from Babyshop, Splash, Shoe Mart and Lifestyle, are largely sought-after by young mothers. The brand tied up with the maternity wards at Al Zahra Hospital and Saudi German Hospital in Dubai to gift 'New Moms' personalized Centrepoint gift cards worth AED 300 on Mother's day. 30 Families in Dubai benefitted from the brand’s goodwill. Mrs. Rania, who welcomed her firstborn in to the world on March 21st, was touched by Centrepoint’s gift. “I was so surprised and overwhelmed by Centrepoint’s kind and thoughtful gesture. I love the brand and shop regularly from there. I am excited to use the gift card to get products from the Babyshop collection for my baby. It was so lovely for them to acknowledge this special moment in our lives and draw a smile on our faces.” she said, happily smiling down at her newborn.
With over 129 stores across the region, and over 70% female shoppers as its customers, Centrepoint has keen insight on the women in the region. The brand recently conducted a survey that showed that 74% of women in the region put their family before all other responsibilities. Centrepoint chose to play its part in recognizing the care and devotion of its prime customers through the #BetterWithYou initiative that provided discounts in store and online rewards to women shoppers. Centrepoint’s Head of Marketing, Shyam Sunder, spoke of the brand’s current campaign, stating: “Centrepoint is proud to highlight the efforts and achievements of women in the region. We cherish the opportunity to show our appreciation to our female consumers and are eager to give back to the most integral member of the family.”
Centrepoint’s #BetterWithYou campaign highlights the brand’s acknowledgment of the many big and small roles that women play and the numerous responsibilities that they take on and deliver in a seemingly effortless manner. The campaign encourages men to appreciate the abilities of the women in their lives. Centrepoint has collaborated with prominent regional influencer, Deanna Khalil, to co-create content that highlights the influencer’s female role model. “Deanna is both a mother and a talented entrepreneur. She embodies the skill with which today’s women balance family and work. She is perfectly suited to showcase our initiative towards women.” commented Mr. Sunder.
