More than 3,500 staff relished a genuine carnival atmosphere at the annual Transguard staff party in Dubai recently.

The day started with a fairground theme, with a number of well-loved games such as the wheel of fortune, catch the fish, archery and darts as well as a football penalty competition, an obstacle course and for those with a head for heights, a full size climbing wall.

And what carnival would be complete without traditional favourites like candy floss and popcorn, which rounded off a sumptuous buffet lunch.

“Then it was time to party! So after warming up the crowd with a Karaoke completion, staff were treated to a DJ and Bollywood dancers and some acrobatic African Drummers,” said Sarita Harding, Head of Payroll at Transguard and the leader of the team of volunteers from Transguard who organized the party.

C3 Cards, Instant Cash, MJP Events and Advanced Integrated Systems donated their time and resources to make sure the carnival was a huge success.

“This was a massive undertaking and we couldn’t have attempted it without support from our sponsors. But it was well worth it, because it was a smash hit with all of the staff and the management team as well,” she added.
