Breast Cancer Awareness Day at Hili Mall on Friday, 30 October

Al Ain city will witness a walkathon dedicated to spreading awareness of importance of breast screening significance as part of a wider Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, to be organised by Hili Mall on 30 October. The campaign is meant to encourage women to undertake breast screening, in line with the ‘pinkish’ campaigns taking place around the UAE and the world.

 

Hili Mall, along with its partners, will also organise awareness lectures on Friday, 30 October, for the benefit of women and encourage them to attend this full-fledged campaign.

 

The mall has collaborated with Tawam Hospital, Mediclinic, Hili Rayhaan by Rotana, Emirates Association for Cancer Support (Maoazzara), and Police Department, to host this corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaign in line with their community engagement program. 

 

The walkathon will kick off at 8am, and activities will conclude at around 11am. The invitation is open to the public. 

 

“We decided to bring organize just more than an awareness campaign among the Al Ain community during the Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), and therefore added lectures to help them understand how to do their personal home checkups. This is part of the responsibility we hold for the Hili District and the wider Al Ain community,” said Khalid Shraim, General Manager of Hili Mall.

 

“We have collaborated with the right partners all of whom have share the community engagement spirit of Hili Mall, being leaders in their fields. We look forward to welcoming women and those who wish to understand different aspects of Breast Cancer,” concluded Shraim.
