BenQ Middle East pushes for aggressive growth in regional education sector
Dubai English Speaking School, the latest educational institute to adopt BenQ’s interactive flat panel
As GCC governments continue to invest in the education sector, BenQ Middle East and Africa has seen a significant growth for its products for the educational sector. Dubai English Speaking School, the oldest British school in Dubai, is BenQ’s latest customer in the UAE to use its RP651+ interactive screen to create greater classroom engagement. According to Manish Bakshi, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East & Africa, “BenQ is at the forefront of developing educational technology tools that support interactive learning in classrooms in the Middle East. We have seen a real shift from traditional to interactive, learning over the last few years; BenQ's range of educational interactive flat panels such as RP651+ saves time and effort and increases the interaction between students and teachers.” The RP651+, for instance, has multi-platform support and 6-point touch control. Also the eye-care design, user-friendly interface, and the MDA system makes learning more enjoyable and effective than ever. Before RP651+, Dubai English Speaking School used a projector screen and a whiteboard to display lessons to the children and would have to print out some of the lesson. Now they can use the RP651+ screen to annotate with the children, it's a clearer image for them to follow and the 6-point touch control makes the lesson flow better. The Multiple Display Administrator (MDA) facility is a huge benefit, as the IT manager can control and manage all the screens from one According to Andrew Gibbs, the Principal of Dubai English Speaking School, “Before the RP651+ we used to use whiteboards and/or interactive whiteboards and that would often cause interruptions as the whiteboard pens wouldn’t work or the bulb on the projector would stop working. This was annoying and disruptive and we had to restart the lessons once the equipment is fixed; but now the teacher and children can use apps on their IPads, wirelessly to interact during the lessons even while the lecturer has to move around the classroom.” Multi-platform Compatibility: Compatible with major operating systems from Windows to Mac, Linux and Chrome, BenQ’s interactive flat panels are built to work seamlessly with a wide range of computing and mobile devices with a simple plug and play. Eye-care Design, BenQ’s Low Blue Light Technology: Long hours of practice leaves students exposed to harmful blue spectrum lights and eye-discomforting flickers. But the interactive flat panels are built with BenQ’s Low Blue Light Technology to reduce harmful blue spectrum light emission, which causes eyestrain, eye fatigue and even mascular degeneration. The Low Blue Light Technology features the Classroom mode that combats the possible side effects associated with blue light in every usage occasion. Anti-glare Glass: The screen’s anti-glare glass reduces reflection, for more legible text and clearer images, which helps students avoid eyestrain and facilitating more effective instruction. Easy to Manage- MDA Software & Display Note Software Multiple Display Administrator (MDA) saves time and effort by providing remote management of BenQ Interactive Flat Panel MDA also supports remote shutdowns of equipment not in use, saving significant power costs. The Display Note software is a cross platform solution that facilitates real-time collaboration across multiple computing and smart devices, enabling everyone to stream content and contribute to the presentation. The Wireless Desktop Control feature allows teachers to mirror and wirelessly control their PC from anywhere in class, freeing them from traditional lecture style teaching. Front I/O and Pen Tray: USB and HDMI ports, as well as a microphone jack, are located on the front panel, making it easy for teachers or speakers to plug in peripheral devise.
