B-Boy Nader claims victory at the Red Bull BC One UAE Cypher 2015
B-Boy Nader got his first taste of glory and won the Red Bull BC One UAE Cypher 2015 in style. The first-time winner will be representing the UAE at the Red Bull BC One Middle East and Africa Final, set to take place in Tunisia in September. The winner of the Regional Final will progress to the World Final in November.
Nader edged out rival B-Boy Solrac in the final battle, presided over by international judges Pelezinho, Lil G and Nabil, who all gave him the vote of confidence based on three main skills; technique, innovation and dance flow.
The Cypher, replete with high-energy moves, fast footwork and cutting-edge styles by 16 of the best B-Boys in the country, was held at Pacha in Jumeirah. Dutch DJ Nobunaga played a mix of break beats, making sure the B-Boys were pumped and felt the rhythm they needed to break, pop and lock their way to glory.
With a disciplined training regimen, B-Boy Nader has developed impeccable flow with a mixed style combining a variety of manoeuvres and tricks that eventually won him the crowd’s support and the judges’ votes in the heated final battle against B-Boy Solrac.
After the decision was announced, and celebrations concluded, a jubilant B-Boy Nader said: “I worked very hard to win this year, and I am very happy with the progress compared to my first round exit at last year’s cypher. My preps worked very well, and last but not least, Tunisia, I am ready!”
