Al Masaood Automobiles Proud Supporter of Women’s Heritage Walk in Abu Dhabi

Forty five brave women recently retraced a historic 125 km desert trek to better understand the culture and heritage of the UAE with the support of Al Masaood Automobiles, the official distributor for Infiniti in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. 

The challenging Women’s Heritage Walk honours the ancient route Emirati women used to travel twice a year from Abu Dhabi to the comfort of the Al Ain Oasis. 

Currently in its second year, the event  included 23 Emirati and 22 expat women, all seeking to achieve individual fitness goals, inspire their children and families, and create lifetime bonds. 

Jody Ballard, the founder of The Women's Heritage Walk, said: “This significant event implores local ladies to be curious and allow themselves to get out of their comfort zone. Only by experiencing the hardships and beauty of the desert, by feeling the cooling breeze after walking through the heat, having a coffee or a long draw of water, could anyone begin to understand the culture which developed from these experiences.”

Just as the women taking part in the event could not make the arduous five-day crossing without the each other’s encouragement, the Walk itself drew the support of local businesses including Al Masaood Automobiles.
