Al Battal Factory signs contract to sell products in US, Canada

Al Battal Factory for Chemical Industries Co. signed, on Sept. 11, a three-year exclusive agency agreement with Alphion International to market its products, namely carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and polyanionic cellulose (PAC), in the US and Canadian markets.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that the materials are essential in various industries, including oil and gas, water treatment, paper, mining, detergents and ceramics.

The agreement with Alphion International aims at qualifying Al Battal Factory’s products for major companies in North America, where the market size for these products is estimated to be over $600 million annually.

The financial impact of the deal is expected to reflect positively on the company’s H2 2025 results.

The move is part of Al Battal Factory’s strategy for international expansion, aimed at strengthening the position of its products in global markets, opening new export opportunities, and keeping pace with the rapid growth in the chemical industry.

There are no related parties involved in the deal.

Dubai-headquartered Alphion International specializes in marketing and distributing chemicals and petrochemicals in global markets, particularly CMC and PAC.
